Farming & contracting

GPS Tracking for Agricultural Machinery

Build a clearer record of where tractors, harvesters, implements and support equipment are working and which information the project can reliably collect.

Machines across many fields

During peak season, tractors and harvesters move between farms and contractors. Available position and activity records can reduce dependence on manual check-ins.

Records for contract-work review

Validated working-hour, position or implement records can support billing review and help investigate disagreements; the usable record depends on the machine interface, sensors and platform logic.

Implements count too

Selected implements, sprayers and support equipment may need separate powered or battery hardware because they do not share the tractor's installation or data path.

Why LEXUNYU

Start with the operation, then verify the hardware path.

We support fleet and equipment operators as well as telematics providers, integrators, installers and distributors. The work is to define requirements, compare available evidence, coordinate samples and check the data path before a wider decision.

Define the working requirement

Use the Field & Reporting Interval Sheet to document the vehicles, equipment or assets, installation conditions, required signals and receiving platform before comparing models.

Compare evidence and samples

Review supplier documents, available interfaces and sample output. Anything not supplied remains an open item rather than an assumed capability.

Coordinate the data path

Confirm the protocol, fields, accessories, server settings and installation details required by the selected project.

Hardware selection

What to confirm before choosing agricultural machinery hardware.

The right agricultural machinery device depends on how the asset is powered, where it operates, what data the platform needs and which markets the unit must comply with.

Power source

Machine power may come from the equipment battery, an external pack, or a harness to the alternator. Verify the voltage range and whether a sleep mode is needed.

Network and coverage

4G with good rural coverage matters for sites away from cities. Confirm the modem supports the local bands.

Interface and data

RS232, RS485 or CAN links can carry machine or sensor data only when the equipment exposes a compatible protocol and the selected device supports it. Confirm the exact fields on the machine and receiving platform.

Enclosure and installation

IP67 describes dust and water ingress protection under defined test conditions. Check vibration, wash-down exposure, cable entry and mounting separately; keep the device away from heat sources and moving parts.

Device types

Hardware that fits agricultural machinery.

For agricultural machinery, compare the A300 where a wired machine interface is required; the A700 for a stable 9–90V outdoor installation; the GT76 for implements or assets with no fixed power; and the C003F only for compatible powered support vehicles that need a fleet-tracker path. Confirm the exact model and variant, mounting, voltage, interface, reporting behaviour, network and platform fields before selection. See the Shenzhen supplier comparison for how models are shortlisted.

Compliance

Certification is confirmed per model and market.

Radio, safety and telecom certifications (for example CE, FCC, RoHS and relevant regional marks) are issued by the manufacturer for the specific model and variant. Exact coverage is checked before order; documents are provided on request for the models concerned.
